Skyzer Networks is more than an agency

Skyzer Networks is a full-service digital agency that specializes in creating custom websites and applications for businesses of all sizes. We are passionate about helping our clients succeed online and we are committed to providing the highest quality service possible.

The Core of Skyzer Networks

Skyzer Networks was founded before websites. Originally, it was a group of friends who make games on the side. There was a Discord server, a shared Google Drive, and a lot of late-night conversations about game design and development. Originally the name was a short idea. I had been laying down in my name just thinking of something that would stick. Sky, then something where someone will remember it. I thought of Skyler, but that felt too much like a name. Then I thought of Skyzer, and it just clicked. It was unique, memorable, and had a nice ring to it.

As I had talked with my friends the name was something to remember. I changed all my socials to have Skyzer in them, and I was making icons and logos to make the brand feel more real. Originally I was getting into photography and wanted to photoshop some logos from some pictures I took near my house. I had a picture of a light post with a dark sky in the background. So I added some text and a border to the image and it became the first logo for Skyzer Networks.

For a while the name was just a fun thing to have between my friends. I wanted to do more with it but I was not sure what that would be. I had been making websites for a while in some standard HTML and CSS, but I had never really thought of it as something I could do professionally. It was just for friend. But as I got more into web development, I started to see the potential in the name Skyzer Networks.

The start of college

It was my first year in community college. I loved coding and started to learn more then just front end development. I was getting into Python and Java. Things that pull my attention away from design and into critical thinking and problem solving. I was learning about data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles. I had learned a lot in my first year, but I still felt that urge for creative expression. I wanted to build something that was not just functional, but also beautiful. I wanted to create something that people would enjoy using and that would make a difference in their lives.

So I did just that and pull back from the back end of things and started with making Skyzer Networks something all over again. I knew I wanted it to be something to help others. I wanted to create a platform for small businesses to have a presence online. All I did was look at businesses in my area and see how many of them did not have a website or had a very outdated one. So I began programming and made a mockup of the website I wanted to create.

One day I had went to my favorite food truck and the owner had started talking to me. He asked what I am majoring in and how I want to involve that in my life. So I told him I wanted to start my own web design agency and he was hooked. We started talking more day to day and I talked to him about his website. Things went well and time went by. It was Christmas and the texts had went silent for a while. There was one thing I stuck by though from what he had said to me. He said “Nothing will happen unless you put the work in for change”. So I did just that.

Vanilla to Vite

I had always be scared to learn React, but was told how amazing the framework was. I had been using vanilla JavaScript for the longest time and I was super comfortable with it. It was 4 years to be exact. I had been using it for so long that I was scared to learn something new. But I knew that if I wanted to take Skyzer Networks to the next level, I needed to learn React. So I did just that and started learning React. It was a steep learning curve, but I was determined to master it. I spent hours watching tutorials, reading documentation, and building small projects to practice my skills.

I created the first version of the website and it was a good static website. It had the same from page as the vanilla version, but with better component usage and a more modern design. I was proud of what I had created, but I knew that there was still room for improvement. I wanted to make the website faster, better SEO, and more user-friendly. Instead I gave the site a break and started looking into new project ideas.

Vite was a good place to learn about react and I loved it, but the purpose of the site was to be on the front page of a Google search. I wanted to make sure that the site was optimized for SEO and that it was fast. So I started looking into static site generators and I found Astro. Astro was a great fit for what I wanted to do with the site. It was fast, easy to use, and had great SEO capabilities. So I decided to make something that Astro was known for, a blog.

24 Hour Journey

Astro was a great fit for what I needed my future sites to be built off of. A framework specifically built for content-driven websites and getting indexed on search engines. I wanted a blog for the longest time, but Vite wasen’t the best fit for that. So I decided to build a blog with Astro. I wanted to document the process of building websites and my ideas about web development. 24 hour journey was a hit and it was a great way to get my feet wet with Astro. It was a fun project to work on and it was a great way to learn the ins and outs of the framework. I learned a lot from building that site and it was a great stepping stone for me to build more complex sites in the future.

The reality of the Network

While looking at fellow web agencies in my area, I gained a sense of passion for Skyzer Networks. It is going to be a long process to make this a real thing, but in reality it is already real to me. It is not just a logo anymore, and it is not just another project sitting in a GitHub repository. It represents years of learning, experimenting, failing, redesigning, and improving.

Skyzer Networks is not built around the idea of being a massive corporate agency. The goal has always been much more personal than that. I want to work with people who genuinely care about what they do and help them bring their ideas online in a way that feels modern, professional, and unique to them. A lot of small businesses have incredible products or services, but their online presence does not reflect the quality of what they offer. That is the gap I want to help close.

The word “Networks” also means more than most people think. It is not just about computer networks or websites being connected together. It is about people. The friends who originally inspired the name, the businesses I talk with today, and the people I will continue working with in the future. Every project creates another connection, another relationship, and another opportunity to learn something new.

Over time, Skyzer Networks became more than an agency. It became a place for creativity, learning, and building. Some days that means designing websites. Other days it means experimenting with new frameworks, writing articles, improving performance, learning backend development, or just staying up late trying to solve a problem that seemed impossible a few hours earlier.

There is still a long way to go. I am still learning every single day and there are still countless things I want to improve at. But that is part of why I enjoy all of this so much. Technology constantly changes, design trends evolve, and there is always something new to create. The process never really ends.

Skyzer Networks was founded from curiosity and creativity before it ever became focused on websites. In a way, that is still the core of it today. The tools may have changed from game ideas and simple HTML pages to React applications and Astro projects, but the mindset behind it has stayed the same: build things that matter, continue learning, and create something worth remembering.
